With over 15 years experience in the Healthcare Industry, Jon Hernandez is a leading Healthcare Technology Consultant specializing in Revenue Cycle Processes. Prior to forming Aegis, Mr. Hernandez was the CTO for a National Hospital Reimbursement Consulting and Receivable Management Organization. Earlier, He held the position of Vice President of Operations for a Florida based Practice Management Software and Hardware/Networking Firm. He also has over 5 years experience in EDI holding the positions of Regional Sales Director, and later became the Director of Business Development for Electronic Network Systems, an electronic healthcare transactions company. Mr. Hernandez has also developed EDI implementation and claim adjudication strategies for National Insurance Carriers, and has extensive experience in overall medical applications and clinical systems integration.

Prior to forming Aegis, Mr. Hirsch owned and operated Advanced Billing Services, Inc. and North Eastern Asset Recovery for 10 years. Prior to that, Mr. Hirsch was the Executive Director of Operations for Trans Continental Credit and Collections Corp for 7 years. With over 20 years experience in the medical billing and collections field, Mr. Hirsch has an extensive background in all aspects of Self-pay and Third Party billing and collection operations in the professional and hospital arenas.

Carlos A. Escobar has over 10 years experience in senior Management/Executive roles leading companies’ growth efforts in the Finance, and Healthcare Industries.

Most recently, Mr. Escobar led MedAptus Inc.’s Sales and Marketing efforts. His leadership helped MedAptus achieve over 70% growth and deliver its first on-target revenue year. Prior to MedAptus, Mr. Escobar was the Senior Vice President of sales and marketing for Per-Se Technologies’ Physician Services Company. In this role he established a marketing organization and led the sales organization to achieve over $66 million in sales over two years. This represents the best two-year performance in the company’s history. In addition to Physician Sales and Marketing, Mr. Escobar was also responsible for revitalizing CDI – the companies Physician Practice Management ASP. He was able to take this company from a negative EBITDA in 1999, to delivering over $2.4 million in EBITDA in 2000.

Previously, Mr. Escobar was Vice President of U.S. Insurance Services at IBM Global Services where he was responsible for sales, consulting, service delivery and IBM's service strategy for the U.S. Insurance Industry from 1997 to 1998. In this role he was able to grow revenue from $97 Million in 1996 to $346 million in 1998. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Escobar was president of GE Capital's commercial processing services business, which provided information technology outsourcing services to the U.S. and Canadian markets. He built this company from start up to generating $162 Million in annual revenue. From 1983 to 1992, Mr. Escobar held senior sales and sales management positions at IBM Corporation.

Mr. Escobar graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.

Ms Carlson was the Regional Director of Operations for an East Coast Medical Billing and Collection Company. Earlier, she held a wide variety of positions for a National Billing Company including Database Administrator, EDI & Credentialing Manager and Support Manager. Ms Carlson consulted for practice managers, CEO’s & CFO’s to develop workflows, policies and procedures to help increase productivity. Prior to this position Ms Carlson acted as a project manager and certified trainer for GE’s Centricity Software across the nation for over 8 years. She worked closely with the development team at GE and was sought out to implement large practices on behalf of GE.

Jeremy Roebuck has over 10 years experience in software engineering, application development, network administration, and management. In addition to his technical background, he has held positions in the areas of project management and human resource management. For the last 7 years, Mr. Roebuck has been intimately involved with many areas of the healthcare industry, developing software and managing projects designed to improve the quality of healthcare processes for patients, providers, and insurance carriers alike. Prior to joining Aegis, Mr. Roebuck held the position of Lead Software Engineer for a medical services consulting company. He oversaw all internal development efforts and IT consulting engagements. Earlier, he held the position of IT Manager for a medical insurance billing service, heading up their development efforts and managing a team of developers. Today, Mr. Roebuck leverages his experience and leadership to manage all aspects of Aegis’ IT operation, maintaining their status as an industry leader in technology and automated communications.
